Huynh Thuy Le's ancient house in SA DEC - Maguerite Duras

The home of the main character in French writer Maguerite Duras's novel THE LOVER in the Mekong Delta was built in 1895 and is a mixture of Vietnamese, French and Chinese styles , using both Oriental and Western elements. The family of Huynh Thuy Le sold the house in 1972. The building remained beautifully intact during the last 100 years.
